Terms of Service

JBOOKING · Effective date: April 20, 2026

Please read these terms before signing up as a vendor. They explain what JBOOKING is, what you agree to when you use the platform, and your rights as a user.

1. What JBOOKING Is

JBOOKING is a platform that connects customers with local vendors and salon owners in Kenya. We help businesses manage pre-orders and queues so customers can book ahead and arrive when their order or appointment is ready. JBOOKING provides the technology platform — we are not the vendor and we do not deliver services directly.

2. Who Can Use It

JBOOKING is available to vendors and customers based in Kenya. You must be at least 18 years old to create a vendor account or make a payment. By using JBOOKING, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Vendor Subscriptions

Vendors pay KES 399 per month to be listed on JBOOKING. Your first month is completely free as an early adopter thank-you — no payment required to get started. After the free period, billing is monthly. You can cancel at any time by sending us a WhatsApp message to +254740469914 or through the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month. We do not offer refunds for partial months already paid.

4. Payments

All payments are processed via Safaricom M-Pesa. JBOOKING does not store your M-Pesa PIN, bank details, or card information at any point. When you pay via M-Pesa, you are entering into a payment transaction with Safaricom under their terms and conditions. We only receive confirmation that your payment was successful.

5. Your Content

When you list your business on JBOOKING, you own your business information (name, photos, menu, location). By listing on JBOOKING, you grant us a license to display your business information on the platform so customers can find you. You can remove your listing at any time by cancelling your subscription. Please make sure everything you list is accurate and truthful.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use JBOOKING for anything illegal or harmful. Specifically: no fake business listings, no fraudulent orders, no harassment of other users or vendors, and no attempt to disrupt or misuse the platform. Accounts found to be abusing the service will be suspended without a refund.

7. Limitation of Liability

JBOOKING is a marketplace and technology platform. We are not responsible for the quality, availability, safety, or timeliness of services provided by individual vendors. If you have a dispute with a vendor, please contact us and we will do our best to help — but the vendor is responsible for their own services. To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, JBOOKING's liability is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 3 months before the dispute.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date below and notify you through the app. Your continued use of JBOOKING after an update means you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, you can cancel your subscription.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be handled in the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
